First I gathered the supplies: cheap frames from Walmart, paint, stain and sand paper from Lowes, and hooks. The frames I bought had a cracked texture around the design, I would recommend something more smooth or sanding it down before painting.
Next, I spray painted the frames and hooks white.
After they dried, I sanded them down a bit to give it a distressed look. I attempted to stain them but I just didn't like the way it was coming out. So I painted them white again and sanded once again. For me, I guess less was more.

Then we hung them on the wall in our small foyer.
There you have it.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
