A couple of days ago I came across this WordPress blog called 1000 Awesome Things. Of course the name of the blog caught my eye. Who doesn't want to see something awesome? The first thing I noticed after the title was the blog header: it was a picture of a pile books with the title "The Book of (Holiday) Awesome" by Neil Pasricha.
If you know me at all, you know that I love lovelove the holidays, especially Christmas. Naturally, I had to find out more about it. It just so happens that if you visit Amazon, you can read the first 20 pages of the book. You can also read the first 20 pages of his other two books as well, "The Book of Awesome" and "The book of (even more) Awesome." From the very first page of awesomeness, I was hooked. One of my favorites in the holiday book so far is "Walking into a grocery store and seeing the first shipment of eggnog" (p.5). I would have ordered all three books right then and there but we are moving soon and I wouldn't be able to have them shipped in time. I intend on going to the book store this weekend to see if I can find at least one of them, and I plan to order the others as soon as we get moved into our new place. Books like this always tend to put a smile on my face. If you're into that kind of thing, you should check them out too! Has anyone else read them yet?
