Get out of my head!

Like clockwork, it happens every single day. I wake up in the morning and instantly have a song stuck in my head. "What song?" You ask. It is pretty much a different song every day. Some are songs I love, others are songs I really can't stand but know every word to anyway. The song will linger with me all day long. Anytime I have a moment free of thought, or what should be, there it is again, just popping into my head. Even when I lay my head down on the pillow to sleep, the song of the day is on repeat buzzing throughout the crevices of my brain. Goodness gracious, somedays I just can't take it. Todays song of the day is... DUN DUN DUN... "Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock.  Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring. Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun. Now the jingle hop has begun..." and my favorite part..."What a bright time, it's the right time, to rock the night away. Jingle bell time is a swell time, to go gliding in a one-horse sleigh..." How many of you are singing along with me right now? :)

Happy Saturday, hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. LOL so singing along with you now! I thought it was just me that woke up with a song playing in my head! :) Glad to hear I am not the only one. I don't know if you listen to country music... I have this darn 'red solo cup' by Toby Keith in my head. Not the best song... it's all about partying... but such a catchy beat! lol

  4. I'm so with you! And that is one of my favorite Christmas songs! I heard from a little first grader I know that they call a song stuck in your head an "ear worm" I'd never heard that before but I like it! :) I hate it most when, like you said, the song is one I don't like at all. Other times I only know some of the words so I go nuts until I finally break down and Google the lyrics! :)

You are most definitely not alone, Cheilsea! But imagine how awful it would be if we didn't have a song in our heads! Just dead silence all the time. :(

  5. @Michelle- I totally agree with that :) Thanks for following!

@Andy- I'm the same way. I hate not knowing or being able to remember lyrics and I always google them. Google has pretty much been a lifeline to me over the years. Anything I'm unsure about, I google. You make a valid point: It would be awful to have dead silence all the time.

  6. Oh man. This is me to a tee. The song is usually whatever I listened to the night before that pops in my head the next day. I'm glad I'm not the only one :-)

  7. @BM- I'm the same way sometimes, but most of the time it is just the most random songs. You are definitely not the only one! Thanks so much for following :)
